Project F.R.E.E.
Focused Risk-Reduction Education and Empowerment
The goal of Project F.R.E.E. is to increase opportunities to all community members who are at risk for communicable diseases due to drug use via injection, unprotected sexual activity or other risk factors, to make positive behavior changes that reduce or eliminate the potential for infection.
Street Outreach allows the Project F.R.E.E. staff to meet the community on their own ground geographically, emotionally and spiritually. The staff opens dialogue through acknowledgement of the individual’s current beliefs and values so that clients may assess their personal risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Staff also addresses myths and misconceptions about HIV and STDs.
Project F.R.E.E. provides:
• Free, Confidential HIV/Syphilis Testing
