Community Awareness Reinforcing Education
Protocol Based Counseling (PBC)
Outreach Education is provided in the community, family planning clinics, county jails, and drug treatment centers. Tests for HIV and Syphilis are conducted using blood tests. Pre and Post Test Counseling determine high risk factors. Referrals and confidentiality are in accordance with the Department of State Health Services in Austin, Texas and the Nueces County Health Department Guidelines.
PBC provides:
* Street Outreach Services
* Pre and Post Test Counseling
* Confidential and Anonymous Testing for HIV and Syphilis
* Risk Reduction Planning Services
* Referral to other services needed
Comprehensive Risk Counseling (CRCS)
CRCS provides one-on-one counseling with individuals with HIV infection and/or their family members. The program identifies risk in individuals and guides client into developing a client-centered risk reduction plan. According to individual needs, referrals are given. Clients are seen in the office or in their home in and around Corpus Christi, Texas.
CRCS provides:
• Individual, Confidential Counseling
• Risk Behavior Analysis
• Client–Centered Risk Reduction Planning Services
• Identification of Risk Behaviors
FREE Confidential and Anonymous HIV Testing
FREE Confidential Syphilis Testing
FREE Condoms
Free Testing Monday thru Thursday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
