Project B.E.S.O.S.

Bringing Everyone Street Outreach Services

Designed to integrate HIV and Substance Abuse Services, this program serves primarily Mexican and Mexican- American people aged 13 and older, who are vulnerable to immediate risk due to substance abuse, unprotected sex, and a lack of culturally and linguistically appropriate and understandable prevention messages.

Project B.E.S.O.S. provides:

    • Free, Confidential HIV Risk-Reduction Counseling and HIV Rapid Testing

    • Screening and Referrals

    • HIV/AIDS, STD and Hepatitis C Education

    • Substance Abuse Education

Project B.E.S.O.S’ HIV/Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force was formed in an effort to provide the highest quality services to the communities it serves. It identified the geographic areas of greatest need through assessment tools, assisted with the development of culturally and linguistically appropriate prevention messages, and continues to provide feedback and ideas for effective integration of HIV and Substance Abuse Prevention Services to the four counties it serves. The Task Force is comprised of local service providers, consumers and volunteers.
